Staff Expertise

• All teachers are teachers of pupils with SEND.  They receive regular training to ensure that inclusive teaching strategies re used effectively in every classroom.
• Our SENDCO, Miss Haslehurst, holds the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCo) and has extensive experience is supporting children with additional needs.
• The Headteacher, Mrs Constantopoulos, and SENDCO lead on whole school SEND provision and inclusion, ensuring that staff are well supported and that good practice is shared.
• Teaching Assistants are trained to deliver a range of interventions and targeted support programmes such as:
• Phonics and reading interventions
• Speech Language and Communication Support
• Social and emotional wellbeing support (e.g. ELSA)
• Fine and Gross motor skill development
• Precision Teaching
• Maths and Literacy small group support

Training is regularly reviewed to match the evolving needs of our pupils and may include topics such as:

• Autism awareness
• Dyslexia and literacy support
• Speech and language development
• Emotional regulation and mental health
• ADHD and executive functioning
• Supporting pupils with sensory needs
