Welcome to Year 4
A message from Miss Giddens...
Hi everyone, and welcome to Year 4! I, Miss Giddens, am your Year 4 teacher this year! We are going to have such an amazingly fun-filled year! I just can't wait! We are also lucky enough to have Miss Mason, our teaching assistant, joining us!
Our PE days are Monday and Wednesday. I will be teaching PE on a Monday and JB Coaches will be teaching on a Wednesday. We ask and expect that all children have their PE kits in school on a Monday ready for the week! Children's hair must also be tied up and jewellery to be removed - NO earrings!
Class Dojo!
Children can earn dojo points, share their work with you and you can see what we've been up to on our class story!
TTRS!
Times Table Rock Stars is a fun app to help your children learn their times tables! They can earn certificates for going green! Each child has their own log in which they can use in school and at home!
Reading Records
Every child has been sent home with a reading book and a reading record. We aim to read with your children as much as possible, but to build fluency, we ask that children read at home three times a week! This can be a reading book or a reading for pleasure book!
Home Learning
Every term, we send home topic home learning which is a menu of fun activities to do which relate to our current learning. Every Thursday we send our weekly home learning which focuses on our current learning in English, maths and spelling. This practice will really help your child's understanding!
